Terms and Conditions for Raffle Fundraiser

Eligibility

The raffle fundraiser is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and board members of DeSoto Arts Institute (DAI) are not eligible to participate. Those under 18 are allowed a parent/guardian to purchase tickets on their behalf.

Entry Period

The entry period for the raffle fundraiser begins on the date announced herein and ends upon sales goals set herein. If sales goals are not met the raffle will be drawn on August 8th, 2024. Entries submitted outside of this period will not be accepted.

How to Enter

To enter the raffle fundraiser, participants must purchase one or more raffle tickets at the designated price. Each raffle ticket purchased constitutes one entry into the drawing.

Entry Fee

The price of each raffle ticket is as set herein. Payment for raffle tickets must be made in full at the time of entry. No refunds will be provided. All sales are final.

Number of Entries

There is no limit to the number of raffle tickets an individual may purchase. However, each entry is subject to the entry fee outlined herein.

Prizes

The prizes for the raffle fundraiser will be announced prior to the start of the entry period. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

Drawing

The drawing for the raffle fundraiser will take place once a specific number raffle tickets set herein have been sold. Once this goal is reached, the winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received up to that point during the entry period. If the ticket threshold is not reached, the drawing will proceed with the tickets sold, and winners will be selected accordingly.

Notification of Winners

Winners will be announced on DAI’s social media accounts and notified via email or phone within 4 days of the drawing. If a winner cannot be reached or does not respond within 7 days of the initial notification, an alternate winner will be selected. It is the sole responsibility of the announced/notified winner to respond within 7 days. DeSoto Arts Institute is not responsible for missed communications due to blocked numbers, spam filters, or any other technical issue.

Publicity

By entering the raffle fundraiser, participants consent to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes related to the fundraiser, without additional compensation.

Taxes and Fees

Winners are solely responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the prizes awarded in the raffle fundraiser.

Limitation of Liability

DeSoto Arts Institute is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries, or for any technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the raffle fundraiser.

Governing Law

The raffle fundraiser and these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to its conflicts of law principles.

Modification or Cancellation

DeSoto Arts Institute reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the raffle fundraiser at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

Shipping

Shipping of prizes to winners residing in the continental 48 US states will be paid by by DeSoto Arts Institute. However, winners residing outside the continental 48 US states will be responsible for paying the difference in shipping fees, if any, beyond what would be incurred for shipping to the continental 48 US states. DeSoto Arts Institute reserves the right to determine shipping methods and carriers based on unforeseen restrictions or conditions. Winners will be notified of any such restrictions or requirements upon selection.

Delivery Time

While DeSoto Arts Institute will make every effort to ensure prompt delivery of prizes, we cannot guarantee specific delivery times. Delivery times may vary depending on the shipping method, carrier, and recipient location.

Social Media Engagement and Email List

Each raffle ticket holder is asked (but not required) to follow and like DeSoto Arts Institute’s official social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Additionally, by purchasing a raffle ticket, participants consent to being added to DAI’s email list. This allows DAI to provide updates, news, and other relevant information about its activities, events, and initiatives. Participation in social media engagement and subscription to the email list are integral parts of supporting DeSoto Arts Institute and its mission to foster education and creativity within the film industry.

By participating in the raffle fundraiser, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
